Data Deletion

Ripplux is committed to your privacy and your right to control your data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Ripplux, and what happens when you do.
1. How to Delete Your Data
There are three ways to request deletion of your data from Ripplux:
Option A: From your Ripplux dashboard (recommended)
- Log in to your dashboard at app.ripplux.com
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy
- Click Delete Account
- Type "DELETE" to confirm
This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data.
Option B: From your Facebook/Meta settings
If you connected your Meta Ads account to Ripplux, you can remove Ripplux from your Facebook account:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find Ripplux and click Remove
When you remove Ripplux, Facebook notifies us automatically. We will delete all Meta-related data (ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, ads, performance insights, and campaign snapshots) within 24 hours.
Option C: By email
If you cannot log in to your dashboard, email privacy@ripplux.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your Ripplux account. We will process your request within 30 days as required by PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA.
2. What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account or when Facebook notifies us that you removed the app, the following data is permanently deleted:
- Meta Ads data: ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, ads, daily performance insights, creative metrics, campaign snapshots. Meta access tokens are revoked.
- Google Ads data: ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, performance metrics. Google tokens are revoked.
- Shopify data: order records, customer records (Fernet-encrypted at rest), product records.
- Audit reports: all waste analysis reports, decisions, and action items.
- Experiment data: holdout experiment configurations and results.
- Account data: your merchant profile, email address, notification preferences, and billing information. Your Stripe subscription is cancelled.
- Authentication tokens: your session cookie is cleared and all OAuth tokens are invalidated.
3. Deletion Confirmation
If you removed Ripplux from your Facebook/Meta settings, you may have received a confirmation code. This code confirms that your Meta data deletion request has been processed. You can verify the status of your deletion request by contacting us at privacy@ripplux.com with your confirmation code.
4. Data Retention
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We do not retain backups of deleted merchant data. Financial records (order history, audit reports) are soft-deleted for a 30-day compliance window, then permanently purged.
